I am a great fan of the sentence "be at least semiretire all of your life". I think it holds relevance and clarity to the things we find so worrying and take up so much of our time concerning us... puts it into perspective. Not that my father was a literary man, or a man full of great wisdom; but when i was younger, and asked why i was so tall for my age and compared to everyone else, he used to say "so you can smell and soak up the freshest air, before it gets filled with the chitter chatter and hussle and bussle of everyone else filling it"

This reminds me of his saying, and i like its point very much. I believe, its too often forgotten!!!

I love your father's saying. He was a wise man able to see what was needed in the situation. And he was right too! Beautiful. Thank you for sharing that memory
