End of Semester 07
Nov. 2nd, 2007 @ 02:19 am
Thank you all for a fabulous semester in Australian Literature, Twentieth Century Literature and William Blake: The Visionary Imagination. I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching you all and wish you well for the remainder of the year. Good luck with your exams and I look forward to seeing all returning students next year. Those of you who so ably helped me as LiveJournal Academic Assistants please come and collect your Certificates of Achievement from my office. They will be posted on my door if you come when I am out,
I started a Wikki tab herehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Griffith_School
Mainly because I'm also creating my own wikki in the hopes of shameless Lord Byron-style self aggrandisement It's like writing your own page of history.
Just thought I'd let you know where it was in case you wanted to edit, change, delete, or update it.
At present it reads“The Griffith school of writers started at a teachers collage in 2005, under the auspices of Michael Griffith, a radical English Professor interested in technology and it’s implications for creativity and learning.
The school initially grew out of his lectures on hypertext media, and moved online using technologies and exploring digital space. Today the school of writers has hundreds of members made up from friends, associates, and past students, many of whom have graduated as teachers themselves and gone on to incorporate many of Michael Griffith’s radical ideas on creativity and technology in the class room as an enhanced mechanism for learning.
Several noted poets and writers of the school are Daniel Gleeson, Olivia Porter, Timb Hoswell and Neil Morgan.”
I was like 50/50 on whether or not to include Morgan in the final draft.
just wanted to let you know that i still dont know if i loved every minute of your class because you were a good teacher or because it was a good subject. but my memories always have an optimistic groove to them, and ive got to tell you that you opened in me alot of love for poetry and proactivity. had a great time at acu and im sure your inspiring other students of perhaps a lesser age than me (by about a massive year or two) to bloom into flowers of red poetic leaisure.
hope all is well
