What a great start to this new venture of Hosting poetry readings in the M. Art Gallery: thank you Ross K for the initative. Thank you students for supporting it with your LiveJournal poems and your attendance... and what a great spread of wines, cheezes, fruits of the forest etc. etc... Thank you Bill F for supporting the catering and to Judith C for organizing the space so well for us. I really felt the event provided a new way of sharing our meaningful creativity; a way of expanding the boundaries of LiveJournal beyond Cyberspace into Realspace. And what a great collection of poetry readings from everyone: thank you especially to Young J (winner- Autumn 2006), David Norris (winner Summer 2005), Alyssa P (winner Summer 2005 Book Review Community) and Olivia P - great contributor of poetry and runner up in this recent competition. I especially enjoyed that poem read by Graham English "Lamb"- so simple and yet so powerful in its appreciation of the wonder and miracle of creation. Thank you also to Brother A M who gave the whole proceedings a wonderful conclusion in his recollections - from the whole of his life- how literature, poetry, art, music have been such an incredible source of inspiration for him and for the generations of students he taught.
Thank you all... and here is the photo finish:
